Los Angeles based community Tea Party 4 Black Girls provides a fun and safe space for Black women to network and explore their health needs.
In an interview with the LA Times, Bianca Gravilis said: created a community Providing an outlet for Black women and non-binary people. The event is free and by invitation only. This is an important aspect of the work Gravilis seeks to accomplish through Tea Party 4 Black Girls.
“I didn’t like the idea of building something for our community and getting paid for it,” Gravilis told the LA Times. “I have to pay for everything. Is this the only place that will take good care of me?”

“The Tea Party for Black Girls began in May 2022 with a clear mission in mind: to prioritize the health and well-being of Black women. Since beginning this journey, we have We successfully held 5 events,” the group captioned an Instagram post.
The emphasis is on recognizing life stressors and finding ways to reduce them.
“I think our entire community of Black women has a level of fatigue across the board,” Gravilis said. “Whether it’s because we’ve been put in a caregiving position very early in life. Whether it’s because we have siblings or we have young children… so many I think people have a very strong dependency on black women.”
Gravilis said the space is important because “other Black women need to know what we’re all going through.” [the] It’s the same thing. ” She said there is a lot of trauma from her ancestors that she never had a chance to unpack.
